Breathwork for regulated performance. For athletes, entrepreneurs, and driven individuals. A structured performance training block, not just a collection of breathwork practices.

Wired at night. Flat in the morning. Short fuse under pressure.
You train hard and work hard, but you can't switch off. Most people don't realise how much of that comes down to how they breathe: mouth open, chest-driven, over-breathing all day without noticing. It keeps your nervous system in low-grade alarm.
Meditation apps and the odd breathwork class feel good for an hour, then life takes over again. Nothing gets measured, so nothing sticks.
The Nervous System Edit fixes the mechanics first, then trains your tolerance, and proves it with one number you test every morning.
What You’ll Learn
How to measure and improve your CO2 tolerance (BOLT score).
a concrete, trackable number that proves whether your nervous system is actually changing, not just a feeling of ‘calmer’.
How to break the mouth-breathing and over-breathing habits quietly raising your baseline stress levels.
The mechanical fixes most performance advice skips completely.
How to stay regulated under real pressure.
Using breath control to hold composure in competition, high stakes meetings or any moment that actually counts, not just in a quiet room.
How to switch deliberately between activation and recovery on demand.
The ‘on/off’ skill that separates people who can perform hard and genuinely reset, from people who stay wired long after the moment is over.
The 8 weeks
Every week has a short teaching page, a clear protocol, a checklist and reflection questions. You log your BOLT score every morning so you can see it working.
Week 1 · Awareness. See how you actually breathe and take your first BOLT score. This is your baseline.
Week 2 · Mechanics. Remove the two habits keeping you wired: mouth breathing and over-breathing.
Week 3 · Tolerance. Train CO2 tolerance directly with structured walking breath holds.
Week 4 · Regulation under load. Hold your breath control with your heart rate up and your head busy, then retest against Week 1.
Week 5 · Downshift. Pull your nervous system out of alarm and into recovery in minutes, not hours.
Week 6 · Switch. Switch on deliberately, briefly, then back down again. The right state at the right moment.
Week 7 · Recovery & sleep. Move the work into your sleep, your evenings and your mornings.
Week 8 · Retest & your protocol. Retest your BOLT score against Week 1 and build the protocol you keep for life.
Bonus. Troubleshooting, breathing for training, and the science and sources behind it all.
Meet Your Instructor
Beau Mackey
breathwork facilitatorMy introduction to breathwork wasn't in a studio — it was in a small community hall in Broken Head, on the East Coast of Australia. What started as a chance encounter turned into years of study, including training with SOMA Breath, a globally recognized breathwork organization whose techniques have been studied by researchers at Cambridge University.
I don't teach breathwork as wellness. I teach it as conditioning — a trainable system with a measurable outcome, built for athletes, entrepreneurs, high performers, and any inquisitive individual ready to put in the work. The Nervous System Edit takes that same rigor and applies it directly to performance, using the BOLT score as proof that the training actually works — not just a feeling of "calmer."
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Eight weeks of structured breath training: four weeks of guided work, then four weeks of integration so it sticks. Each week gives you a teaching lesson, a daily protocol, and a logbook to track your BOLT score.
-
Around 10–20 minutes. The daily protocols are short and built to fit around training, work and family. Consistency matters more than duration.
-
No. Week one starts by measuring your baseline, and every protocol is broken down step by step. If you've done breathwork before, the BOLT tracking shows you exactly where you're at.
-
No. It's a one-time payment with lifetime access, so you can go at your own pace and come back to the lessons whenever you need them.
-
The protocols are built to be gentle and progressive, but breath holds aren't right for everyone. Never practise while driving or in water. If you're pregnant, or managing a heart, lung or seizure condition, check with your doctor before starting.
-
You're covered by the Do-the-Work Guarantee. Follow Weeks 1 to 4 and log your BOLT score on at least 24 of the first 28 days. If your score hasn't moved and you feel no difference, email me your logbook data within 60 days of purchase for a full refund.
